Default OK here's a setup challenge for you (TF SE5A related)

The project is a Top Flite SE5a
53" span
Approx. 1,000 square inch wing area
Projected weight 7 ibs
Power is OS FSa 72 4 stroke

Not going to be a speed demon

But, What would be the best way to do the ailerons?
Kit was designed to use the old conventional bellcranks
Wing thickness is 5/8" at best

based on the size of the plane and aileron I would look at the Hitec HS-85MG and put 1 in each wing half. they are only .51" thick. you could also use

HS-125MG Slim Metal Gear Wing Servo it is .4" thick

You might want to consider a LDS setup like the one pictured. All you linkage would be internal.

Thx for your reply.
This is where I am headed now even if I have to build them in and cover with the silk as planned.
I can always cut the silk away to replace if it failed.
