hey what airfield do you fly at i would like to see that thing fly i bought one about the same time but need to finish some planes first before i start mine and b t w did you get the aloy spinner ? thanks looks good so far

I fly at Chattfield, in Denver Co. Yes, I did get the spinner for it as well. It came from Gene Barton (and took forever to get to me), I have to cut the openings for the prop as well. No big deal as I like that kind of stuff. I will be working on mounting the wings, and setting up the landing gear soon. I'll post pics when i can.

I would like to figure out a way to put hinges inside the cowl, so I can open the cowl up without taking it off to work on the engine. I guess a couple of doors on the top for access panels would be nice. Anyone have any ideas, or is this possible do you think?

I finally finished sheeting the fuse, and the cowl today. I'll post some pics tomorrow of the progress so far. Next is to build the dummy engine, and mount the real one.(saito 100)

I just used the balsa sheeting the instructions called for, then I put some light stain on it, then sprayed it with a couple coats of clear to give it a slight gloss, and a little strength. I used robart hinges (the really small ones) for the ailerons. Not bad for my first build. it turned out better than i thought it would. I'm glad you like it.
