Default "Name that Tail" game

Okay,

Here's the idea. I have attached a photo of the tail assembly off the scale aircraft model I am currently working on.

I thought I would be posting a picture of the whole thing by now, but I am still waiting for a pilot figure and a cowl.

In the meantime, I thought it might be fun to see if anyone can identify what aircraft I have duplicated. I figure that if no one has identified it by next weekend I will get my friend to bring over his digital camera and we'll add in the rear fuselage.

There no prize, other than knowing you knew(?). I just thought it might be fun...

Default Name that Tail

You bet the tail doesn't go with the Bobcat plans it is sitting on. I wasn't trying to throw you off. It was just a quick idea and I didn't feel like "unglueing" the plans from the glass they are on.

Chad has given everyone a big clue. It is a Super Chipmunk, but which one?

Chad got the 'type" of the aircraft, but what is it called? Like Lindberg's famous Lockheed was the Winnie May.

Good going, and very quick so far...

Default Tail

Oooohh Bob.....The Lockheed 5C Winnie Mae was flown by.....WILEY POST!!! Lindberg did fly a Lockheed, but it was a Sirius on floats that he and Mrs L. flew scouting out routes for Pan American to fly around the world. We get the point though. Regards.

To be more specific, it's the Pepsi Skydancer Super Chipmunk. Regards, Chad.

Default Tail Game

You guys are quick!

I can't believe I got Wiley and Lindberg messed up like that!

THe can of Pepsi in the background wasn't left a clue. It just happened to be there when the picture was taken; I was drinking it. I didn't even realize it unitl after I started the thread. I guess you know why I picked the SkyDancer now...

It certianely is the Pespi SkyDancer Super Chipmunk. I always like to be a little different, so I had to find something different than Art Scholl's aircraft. Besides, I am a Pepsi fiend...

I attached a picture of what my model will hopefully look like when it is all together.
