What size 4-stroke engine did you use? Did you have to cut the cowl to clear the valve rocker covers, or did the entire engine fit inside the cowl? Also, did you use the stock muffler, and were you able to keep the muffler inside the cowl, or did you have to cut the cowl to clear the muffler?

Has anyone tried using a .90 size 4-stroke or a 1.00 4-stroke? I think the Saito .90 or 1.00 would fit inside the cowl. Also, I've thought about maybe a Saito 1.00 twin, with the flexible exhaust tubes. Does anyone know if a .90 size 4-stroke will have enough power to fly this plane, if I keep it light?
Also, I'm wondering if the Saito 1.00 twin uses a lot of fuel, or is it pretty fuel efficient? Glow fuel keeps going up and up.

Hi folks, Love the thread. Great inspiration. I haven't had a chance to set up my shop yet, so I haven't started on the build, but I was wondering if anyone has used a gas motor to power their Bonanza's? Some of the newer gas motors look like they might fit in the cowl, but I'm not sure. Anyone try installing a gas engine?
Thanks, Russ

I've got a Saito 150 in my Cessna, and it fits fine in the cowling too. I was just thinking about using one of the smaller (20-30 cc) gas motors for economy and reliability. Although, I do have to say that I've had no problems with any of my Saito's so far...... I appreciate the response. Once I get things set up and get a building surface set up, I'll have to make some posts as to how it's going with the gas engine.
Thanks, and keep up the good work!!!

KTCANUCK,
I have a bonanza kit myself and all along I have been thinking of powering it with the RCV120SP. I don't have any experience with the RCV SP engines but have generally heard good things about them. Do you have experience with them? Have you run yours? I would be interested in hearing your thoughts.

Hello fellow Bonanza flyers,
I have a bit of a problem.
I've recently crashed my Bonanza, by my own fault.
Due to the fact that I've bought the plane second hand, I don't have building plans.
Now I'm searching the Internet for a build plan fot the fuselage, so I can rebuild it.
I've contacted Top Flite for the building plans, but the shipping to my adress costs more than the plan it self.
So I was wondering if somebody still has the plan and if he would be able to make a copy of it and send it to me.
Costs will be payed offcourse.
You can contact me true PM of mail.
