Yep. It's been over three years in the making and still not finished. I'm applying aluminum to it and hope to fly it this summer. I need to git r done so I can build my Don Smith B-17.

Keep up the good work. Your T-34 looks great. I was fortunate to make a quick hop to Breckenridge, Tx from Wichita Falls last Monday in a friend of mine's T-34. I've posted a couple of photos. The T-34 is a super nice airplane and I'm sure the model is just a great. I have one in the box I need to build myself. Thanks for letting everyone learn from your build.

I'm old (75) and slow. Been working off and on for three years on my Top-Flite T-34 and it still has a way to go. Ex- Air force and learned to fly in this trainer. Can you help me locate a small dial air pressure gage for my retract gear system ? Thanks .

It's not quite finished yet. I was hoping to have flown it by now but other things keep getting in the way. I'd like to get it flown in time to take it to Huntsville, Alabama's Warbird meet a week from Saturday but don.t know if I'll make it or not.

I am in process of installing my robart 630 BNZ retract landing gear in the main wing. My question is: Does the retract landing gear can be fold by hand without connecting the air kit. Do I need to do some special preparation with the retract landing gear before I install them. Thanx.

They can be folded by hand if they aren't locked. I just last week got all my air system hooked up and cycled the gear. Before installing them I put a few drops of refrigeration oil in each cylinder.

Take a good look at your retract mechanism. There is an up and a down lock position. The air piston moves the retract locking "pin" from one extreem to the other. At the extreems the retract locks. You can move that "pin" with a small screw driver if there is no air in the system. Once it's moved off the lock the gear leg can be moved up or down by hand.

There is a pin that goes from side to side in the retract frame that slides in a slot . You can move the pin by grasping it on both sides and moving it to unlock the pivot block.

I have a little problem with installing the robart 630bnz landing gear. When I mounted my landing gear on the rails. I found a little problem, the "tourque link assembly" (scissors) are facing toward the outer side they stand out about 7mm. This mean that I can not cover the wing in a clean method and a ugly belly will be there. Let me know how you solved this problem. BTW I followed the plans and glue the rails in place according to the plan.[

The Struts can be rotated 180 degrees to poit the scissors rearwards without problems, simply untighten the screw that holds the axle in place, remove the wheel and then push the axle back in from the oter side.

The scissors need to be parallel to the wheels or parallel to the wing when retracted. I say mounted higher ( closer to the top of the wing )when the wing is upright.

Back on page 1, post 16 of this thread you can see my main gear mounted. I routed them into the rails 3/16" and added 1/4" ply beef up under the rails.

What is the distance of the lights in the main wings (Leading Edge) from the tips of the wings? what are the dimensions of the cut width and how deep they are?
