P-51 Kits
I just finished building a sig 1/4 scale cub and now I am on to my next project. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good quaility 1/5 or 1/6 P-51 kit? I know top flite has one, but was wondering if there are any others out there that someone has worked with? Thank you all.

RE: P-51 Kits
Pica had one but there are gone. Cox picked up the line but I don't know if they will offer any of the kits. Check Ebay they pop up from time to time. I own one and liked building and flying it. Dave Platt offers one also but its a short kit. I built the 7th scale TF P-51 and thought it was OK but I prefer a larger plane. I would suggest that you go as large as your budget allows. Bigger always flys better. Ziroli's are nice but you need to cut or order a kit fro a cutter. Hope this helps.

RE: P-51 Kits
The building/flying of a P-51 depends upon your ability. There are ARF quality A/C out there, and very tedious to build up ones. For the lower end go to the web pages of current advertisers, and for the upper end take a quick run through the pages at RCSCALEBUILDER.
One fast way to separate the ARF quality from a real scale job is to see if the landing gear is hinged up near the leading edge or not. If you want something to resemble a P-51 then aim towards the arf end.
