Does anyone know where to find guns, bombs etc for a Corsair. I have the TF Gold edition and will be starting to build it soon. This will be my first attempt at scale. Building should be the "easy" part. I may solicite help to cover it. I am thinking of fabric covering and then having it airbrushed vs monokote.

Scratch building weapons is actually pretty easy.
Guns can be made from brass or aluminum tubing, inner nyrod, or drilled out wooden dowels. If you're getting really carried away, the receivers are best made from balsa scrap, there are plenty of pics on the web and in books to use for reference.
Hobby Lobby has plastic bombs and release mechanisms, though they're not exactly scale. Otherwise, try making bombs and drop tanks from foam available at craft shops or Wal Mart. The foam comes in various shapes (cylinders, blocks, cones, etc), just mix and match to get the shapes you need. They can be glassed or monocoted. Rockets are made from wood dowels with scrap balsa fins.
I think Great Planes makes a weapons set for their F-4, F-14 and F-15 kits, and Top Flite has drop tanks for their warbirds. All the other stuff I can think of is for giant scale models.

Interesting post,I too have a corsair and up until now never had a problem finding weapons or drop tanks for airplanes. The problem I'm finding with the corsairs is the shape of the drop tanks, they are long and slim and I'm having quite a time finding someone who makes them,if anyone out there has any idea's let us know, other wise it looks like foam carving time and I HATE foam. Thanks
