I know Don (abufletcher) will look at this post I ordered the Snipe plans set too.
The SE5a kit looks like a very good kit. It's not "museum scale" (and wasn't intended to be) but in the hands of an ace modeler like Teus, it can produce an absolutely top-notch result. We'll be looking for your own build thread either here on the Scale Forum or even in the Kit Building forum.

Greg,

I used normal stock aluminum tube (soft) from the DIY-store. First I filled up the end of the tube with JB-Weld (the part where the small holes comes) After filling you can shape the end in the desired shape and drill the small holes.
Next I made small cuts with the dremel tool and after that "pushed" with a round tool and small hammer the exhaust holes inward. I hope you understand what I mean and let me know if you have more questions.

I took this lovely model out for the fist time this year [8D]

I enjoy her even more every flight and am now familiar with her flight characteristics. She is capable of slow flights and landing is a non event.

Next outing I take her to a small show on 30 april.

Today only one flight with 4bft (11 knots) winds. With this winds the model is a hand full to land safe.

Default From Mikemeh concerning your wonderful SE5a

Hi there Teus, I hope that you are well and that your SE5 is too! I have just been reading your build and flight log and would like to congratulate you on a wonderful rendition of the SE5a! I am currently building one, of very similar size to yours - the David Platt designed Top Flite kit. I would love to ask you some questions about the rigging if at some point you read this(!)

Good flying!
Mike
