Please help me find pictures of F-15 eagle with the prototype test paint job. Boing <now owns McD> had only 1 pic. Edwards AFB gallery has only newer a/c pictures & they are not the same layout.
The paint job I want is the basic light grey/light blue with the large orange triangles on the wings, tails, stabs, & Inlets.
The one I have also has the nose long airspeed probe in it.
This may be in all of them.
I'm nearing completion on a kit and want a authentic yet visable paint scheme on it.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Aeroscale, I wasn't sure about that, I knew some early ones were the light blue, I actually worked on one of them. In the only picture I've found you can't tell what the base color is.
The plane is flying in a deep blue sky, the base paint color is very light in contrast.

Ramjet,
Just a suggestion, but I believe some of the best color shemes are the ones on the Eagles flying at Edwards. They are gloss white whith day-glo red tails and wingtips and black anti-glare panels. You can get a nice look at a decal sheet soon to be released by a couple of Air Force guys running thier own company called "TWO BOBS" They have a preview on their website, www.twobobs.net, look for 48-021 for the F-15.
I have no financial stake in this company, they just produce some great decals for my other hobby, plastic model a/c. Anyway, If I was gonna do up an Eagle, that's the scheme I"d use on mine. Let me know what you think!
