firepower, how much do you charge for reproduction aluminum cowls for the b-17?
I've got an original kit that will be assembled soon with four os fs 20's, but also have the plans for the rufe, and mini spitfire. would be nice to have a canopy for both and cowl for the rufe....
Im currently doing 3d design, master cam, and machining in college, probably going to pull a 3d design of parts soon plus have access to 3d plastic printer!!!

I used to have a Stratsys 3D printer, it was nice. 3D printed molds out of plastic are hard to use if you aren't modeling a smooth surface... a canopy with a frame wouldn't be easy unless you added it later to a secondary mold. A cowl would work out well though. I am not really in the business of providing parts for the Royal 17 at the moment, just mentioned that I could make some and have the molds. I am really busy right now, so it would be a little while before I could do anything. My repro cowls would be plastic reproductions, not aluminum.
I am currently designing and building a pylon and droptank/ bomb system for the Top Flite P-51 Mustang at 1/5.5 scale and will have to finish that first.

So, does anyone know what happened with USWing on ebay? He was a great source of the old Royal clear parts and now that I find myself in need of a canopy for a KI-61 Tony (Sr. 72") there appears to be none to be found....Knew I should have made a plug for it while it was still good...or ordered several way back when

he seems to have dropped out of the parts biz and is just offering plans last time I checked,I purchased some of his aftermarket canopies and they were good repro's no one seems to be doing them now I just sent him a message through ebay because I want to get some parts myself I will post here if I get any word back from him.

The Royal kit was very faithful to the original right down to airfoil. The wing was too thin to allow retracts. I know an old member in a local club that built a bunch of these (4 or 5). He advised me when I was considering building a Royal Staggerwing that he increased the airfoil thickness 14% to improve the flight characteristics. He said it was a handful to land as designed.

Nice info on the stagger wing. For anyone who may be interested I have a Spitfire Junior that was given me several years ago. It has been started but has many parts, plans and clear vacuum formed parts. Not looking to make it rich off the kit and thought if someone wanted it I would be willing to entertain offers.

How much? Not Much! I am thinking 20 us dollars plus shipping costs? I got it from a fellow modeler who was a Marine helicopter pilot with two tours in Viet Nam. I can take more photos of what is there and you can decide if that would be fair. I know I will never get to it and want someone who will make good use of it. Let me know. Jackson

Evaluating my project bucket list against best case longevity scenario, I have decided to part with my
unstarted Marutaka Bearcat kit. I haven't listed it yet so If anyone is interested in it please PM me.

I think it depends on the area I seem to remember seeing more .19s then .15s. I haven't got a home for what I have but I may know some one who may have what you need, do you want me to check with him? He'll generally sell them on the cheap since he doesn't have much use for small engines. I assume it would need to be 4 matching engines.

Hi Jack,
If you see the disk on ebay can you put up the link I am still looking for a set of stearman plans, the set that came with the plane I bought fell to dust when I opened them.
Cheers Jim.
