Love the Photoshop of the P-38 Victory Roll! Kerry Bridges did a fantastic job building it and Eric made it look to easy flying it

I hated seeing the Dora go in that was a beautiful model.

Loved seeing all the warbirds and major props to all who flew in the wind.

I've got some decent pics from the weekend i'll post up

Hey Mike,
We have been real busy here in Bowling Green, Ky. The photos you were asking about of the DVII pruning the trees on the other forum was taken by a good friend of ours, John Williams, who flew the SIG 1/4 SCALE CUB in expert fun scale. This was his first year competing at the Mint Julep. Well, i guess i should try to load the well waited for shots for you guys. Thanks for being patient with us. Will post some more pics as i have time. John shot some 2000+ pics in 2 days and still managed to fly 2 rounds in the gail force crosswinds with the rest of us that braved them.

It was great seeing, talking, and flying with you folks. I only flew two rounds as well, but only shot about 300 pics. I've heard rumors that there might be some "I survived the 2008 Mint Julep" t-shirts available. I'll sure want one!

RE the comment about the judges:

I wasn't at this, so I've no idea how well, or how poorly the judging was done. However, I've volunteered as a judge at 2 scale contests (CL, but most of the issues would be the same). Even after diligently studying the rule book, it was not at all easy. It was not a particularly fun job either, even though the contestants did NOT complain about the judging. Was my judging perfect? certainly not. My point - it ain't a fun, easy job. Have some sympathy for the judges, and maybe consider volunteering to be a judge next year - it could be an eye-opening experience! [:-]
