Default canopy air cylinder-where to get one

I need an aluminum air cylinder with a 6" stroke. Who sells them?

I already visited Clippard and Bimba sites. I'm looking for something a bit lighter.

Funny thing is I just saw an advertisement in one of my hobby magazines not long ago and didn't save the ad. Now, of course, I can't find it.......

Injun, I think Ultra Precision makes 'em in this size. Don't have their info at hand but they usually have an advert in the mags. Good luck, Chad.

Default Air Cylinders

Hi Bob: Try Bimba.com. They will send you a catalog and they primarily build automated assembly line stuff but they have the largest assortment of Air cylinders and valves that I have ever seen. I have used there cylinders for several years now and am very satisfied with them. They come in every diameter and stroke length you can imagine and to put icing on the cake they are very nice people to deal with.

Look for a company called Motion Industries, though they are not an R/C company per se, they sell all types of small air cylinders of different sizes and lenghths. Years ago, I know a fellow in my club was building a large Skyraider and they were able to provide him with cylinders for canopy and wing folding mechanisms. I think they are in the yellow pages and are a chain of stores.
Good luck
