How can runs in latex paint be removed ? I'm concerned that sanding might tear the surface, and make it worse than it is ?

Jim, Unless you can use something like Goofoff.. to remove the paint, you need sand it down. Be advised that if you remove paint you'll have a low spot where the paint was and will need to build it back up to the level of the surrounding paint. I think using 240-300 wet will get the paint runs off. Just go gently as best you can.. Regards BobH.
