We made the Gardner event last year (I actually took first in fun scale with my Cub). It seems it was nearer the end of June than the beginning.
Unfortunately, I wont be getting there this year as work will keep me near home until about the middle of June..

Hi Nik,

to bad. gardner is good event. remember there are two events there 7-8jun Bottom gun fun fly in and 21-22jun scale masters.
i'll enter my bristol in fun scale at the scale master qualifier/i'm scared already/.

Thanks Petr! It's been a fun build so far. Trying some new things and adding more detail than I have in the past. As usual, RCU has been a helpful resource for ideas and motivation!

you are right about RCU as a good source of info and motivation. i do the same with my spit. this is my first "scale" model if i'm not counting my balsa usa bristol mc1. i'm trying new things. fiberglasing, more detail,guns,antenas,panels,rivets,bumps and such.. will be ready for primer in week or so.
it sure is lot of fun. if it looks semi good i'll post some pics.

Yes , Gardner is a great event and a "must do" for me
and several of my friends. Always lots to do and see.

I will be attending the Saturday flying only, hope to
see you there.
