Yeah it beats being unemployeed by a long shot.
I just completed a 1/4 scale plans built Waco before I started this build, it has a DL50 gasser installed, the maiden will be this spring.

I built a 1/4 scale Waco YMF-5 from Pepino's plans last summer and have a lot of flights on it. It sure flies good. Great inverted flat spins. What name do you go by summerwind?

Hi Guys,
A nice little surprise in the mail today, I received my order form InZpan. The instruments look great. They sent me an extra 40 screws of both 1/4 and 1/3 scale. The toggle switches look good also, these should help to make some very nice panels.
As with how it has been lately I have to work all weekend. I still hope to get some work in on the other gear cuff.
Here is a couple pics of the goodies from InZpan.

Tom no problem,
I am getting ready to head out to work and I will take some pics when I get home this afternoon. I am assuming your items are for your C-195? I will be watching your thread on RCSB.

Hi Anthony, I'm almost done basecoating my 33% YMF and I'll have it assembled for the first time this week. Do you mind if I post some photos when it's together? Mitch

Tom,
My cheap little digital camera I have will not focus very well up close. The detail on the toggle switches is very nice and clean. The silver paint on the switches leaves alot to be desired so I will be spraying a coat of Dupli-Color Chrome paint on my switches. I took pics of the switches with a penny for size reference, these are the 1/4 as I know that is the size you ordered.
Later!!

Anthony, Tom and everyone,

Here is an additional photo of the 1/5th ProPagTeam (InZpan) stuff;

The larger instruments (Compass, Airspeed and Alt) are 16mm (.638") in diameter not counting the flange.
The smaller instruments (Clock, Turn and Bank) are 12mm (4.79")
The switches are on the oval and you can see the screw heads (Phillips) as installed (drill a hole and insert (with a drop of glue)
The screws as they come from PPT are the black strip at the bottom
Top row; White/Red Rocker style switches, Magneto Switch
Middle Row; Star Knob, green indicator light, keyed switch (ignition)
The larger slotted screw below the clock will be the reset knob when I am done with the panel.
The orange lines are 1" apart for reference.

The rocker style switches, Star knob, ignition switch and indicatior light are too large for 1/5th scale.

You may have to mix scales to get what is needed to match the full size, I needed the 1/4 scale Compass and Turn and Bank instruments to match the prototype. The green indicator light I will flatten a little and use as a starter push button after repainting silver.

Next time place the items on a piece of paper like the kind you get from your printer. It is a flat backround and will give the camera something to focus on. Shinney objects like that table you have the toggels on sometimes fool the auto focus of the camera. If you can find a color other than white for the backround paper it would be even better. Light blue red anything is better than white but white will work. Try it sometime to see if it works for your camera.it works on my Kodak V550

Thanks for the camera tips, I will give that a try.
I wound up not getting any time for the Waco last weekend. Sunday was my birthday and the wife wanted to get out once I came home from work. I turned 41 so I guess it is all down hill from here It looks like I may take a week off of work before long just to get a break.

Happy birthday but I have socks that are 41 years old. It is far from down hill. It just gets better except for gravity related changes.

Happy Birthday Anthony. I have 25 on you and I agree with Ron, it only gets better from 41. At least it did in my case.

Thanks Guys,
I am going to see about getting a release agent and try to pull a mold from the cuff this weekend as long as work doesn't interfere. Drives me nuts not getting time to work on the Waco.

My buddy at work brought me in a lens he formed for my nav lights to test out. He is having issues getting the plastic to pull far enough down the form. I trimmed the lens a little further than I wanted but it doesn't look bad on the houseing.
I think I will tell him to go ahead and pull me 2 more. As you can see from the pics the clear tail lens doesn't show up very well.

On youtube under Damonrosenthal are videos from a lecture we gave at a local club Thursday eve. My Waco can be seen in public for the first time. Although it wasn't finished for the show...no clear coat, no cockpits, N-struts, wires. Mitch
