Default Can you paint over the wing covering films on ARF kits?

Guys,

Problem... My Gee Bee 74" kit has been delivered and I have discovered that the paint condition of the ESM kit is rediculous.

I am looking to repaint the entire aircraft, however, can you actually paint over the film covered wings.

The wings are foam cores with sheeted surfaces. They are covered in a milk coloured film that you can see the tiimber through - AGhhh.

If you can paint on film, what paint must I use...

Any advice will help.

There is a great article in Model Airplane News this month about that. All I did was scuff up the film and use epoxy paint, but that is what I had. I think that Top Flight paint works well.
