Here's a few shots of my newly finished Yak 3, it's all balsa with a 50" wingspan and electric retracts. Weight came in at 2.6 pounds and it's powered with a 400 watt electric power system. Paint is Behr latex and I cut the markings on my vinyl cutter, just need to do the panel lines and it's done.

Nice job, what did you use for covering or is that painted right over the balsa?

Your's brings back good memories
Years ago A buddy built a 54" span yak 9 for warbird racing,, I was lucky enough to fly/race it for him, he later gave me because it was too much plane for him..

Yes my own plans, I vac formed the canopy and cowl as well. This is my 4th Yak 1/3/9 I have built.

I like your YAK... nice! Russian and Japanese warbirds are definitely undermodeled.
