RE: Is This Real Scale ?
If this is the guy I think it is, you should see the Lancaster that he did. It isn't beautiful, it's EXQUISITE!!

RE: Is This Real Scale ?
Yeah, that's Young C. Park. You can read more about him and see more pictures here:

RE: Is This Real Scale ?
I dont think this is the same guy as the O.P. but worth looking at and wondering where and how he gets all his info and drwgs. etc..

RE: Is This Real Scale ?
Thanks for the info. Question: Would a sponsor, or scale flyer, be able to have him construct a plane of this caliber, with ability to fly, then enter in Tiano's big shoot out ? Wouldn't this put someone in the winners circle ?

RE: Is This Real Scale ?
Not an airplane http://www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/Scerri.htm He made everything and it works just like the real thing. I think in the 90's he was offered $1M for it.
All this needs is RC gear. http://www.flickr.com/photos/1579423...th/5815486799/ This is what you get if you follow the Replicraft plans exclusively. |

"a plane of this caliber, with ability to fly,"
A contradiction in terms. By the time you got that level of detail in, the plane would be WAY too heavy to fly with the power plants that would fit. Les |

Abu.
Yes, in WWI, but not in WWII, "heavy metal" as they were called, for a reason. Les |
RE: Is This Real Scale ?
You guys are right. Lets see, the glide ratio of a P-51, vs. an SE-5. Each at altitude of 5K'. If the P-51's engine quit at 400+ mph, and the SE-5's quit at 90 mph, I would think they would both travel the same distance, to the ground. Only the silver one would get there first and fastest.

RE: Is This Real Scale ?
What is great about WWI RC models is that you COULD potentially have this level of scale accuracy and still have a flying model. . [link]http://www.proctor-enterprises.com/photo_gallery/jenny/images/jenny-framework-w.jpg[/link] |
RE: Is This Real Scale ?
I wonder what the percentage of full scale WW2 would need to be to make a VERY stock build work.. I think 1/2 scale planes could be built that way possibly, as long as all possible weight saving techniques were used.
it would be a thing of beauty to see.... I still get chills being close to a full scale at an air show ! A half scale in the SHED would keep me awake at night thinking of it ! hahahah |

abufletcher - That plane is magnificent. Thanks.

RE: Is This Real Scale ?
But ultimately these are all static scale models. What's the most amazingly scale (inside and out) flying RC model you've ever seen?
