Scale venturi
 

I am in need of two venturies. Does anyone make them or am I on my own? Here is a picture of the two that I need. I need 1 each of both styles.

I would think you need to make your own. I am sure someone has sold some but I have never seen any. Should not be too bad to make.

Just a hint FYI. There is a scale pilot in Florida ( I'm sorry but I forgot his name) who has a full scale Super Cub. He measured the venturi on his Cub and machined an exact, perfect scale version for his Top Gun model. He was downgraded for his venturi. The judge told him "it's not always what's true scale but what looks correct".

Yes, not only a judge but a respected editor of a popular magazine. He has a point and as with anything in life, all things in moderation. Please keep us appraised of your decision and construction.

I have made several from sheet brass. .015 from the K&S display at the hardware store. Just lay out the pieces figuring the taper and diameters needed and solder it up after rolling the end pieces using a short piece of tube for the center. Might take a little trial and error using paper and trace it on to the sheet brass.

Here's one of then on the side of my N28, it was part of the Weyman exhauster that pressurized the fuel system.
