since the rudder broke off, I had to dig out the hinge points.......well that left a bigger hole, so I had to add a couple of sizes of brass tubing to fill the void

Oh, by the way.........Paul came to the rescue again and welded on another axel to replace the one I broke off. (I am supposed to take better care of it this time)

Glad to hear that repairs went ok.

How'd the Head Trauma come out for the pilot? :)

Thanks dreamwever. Yep, WWI is the best. You're relatively close to Virginia Beach, are you heading up to the Mid Atlantic Dawn Patrol this coming weekend?
For further info go to the Events forum and read all about it.

Any more progress on this kit or on the gear?

Winter's coming and I might actually build this as my next adventure.

Whit,

I finished the revised version of the Eindecker with the under cambered wings and took it to the Scale Nats this year. We test flew it there with the G62 and it was grossly underpowered. I added a lot of scale detail and it probably weighs a little more than Art's, but he has a GT80 on his.

I have decided to install a DLE111 this winter and that should do the trick.
I have also decided not to pursue the kit business. It is taking up to much time from my architecture business.
I have several planes on my bucket list and I am only going to do modeling for myself and just enjoy it as a hobby.

Here are some photos of my Eindecker.

Just so happens I have a GT-80 available, or a Moki 150, so power is available!

Do you recommend the undercambered wing or no?

Whit
