Looking for a Robin
I am looking for a Jodel Robin, for a decent price. A kit would be great, but an ARF will be ok too.
The size - I have a .70 FS and a 1.20 FS laying around, either size would be great Graupner has one, but it's really pricey. Does anyone have an idea where to get one? |
RE: Looking for a Robin
Hi Oliver Jacob,
for you is 400 Euroto much for the Graupner ARF Jodel with 250cm wingspan? Sorry,..I can't believe. Matz |
RE: Looking for a Robin
The Graupner Robin is about $730 shipped, not really a bargain, but very nice looking. We can buy quality scale planes for a lot less here.
But I'd be happy with a smaller version, like a 90 size and I'd use my 1.20 four stroke engine. What's not to believe? |
RE: Looking for a Robin
I think Model Airplane News has plans for a 1 or 2 seater and you can modify the fuse for looks.

RE: Looking for a Robin
Gabriel, we are in the US, our currency is the US Dollar and Graupner USA charges about $ 700 plus shipping.
http://www.v-eastonline.com/products...EL-ROBIN-.html And a good quarter scale plane starts around $250 here. The Graupner quality is great, but won't justify the high price. And I am German, lived most of my life there. Rc planes are a lot cheaper in the US, Graupner, Robbe, Multiplex are rather unknown here because of their prices. TFF, thanks for the info. I am not much of a scratch builder. This plane shoudl be as scale as possible and I'd like to have a nice cockpit and cowling with it. It's a beautiful plane when it's build right. Years ago some of the German vendors had a nice selection of these planes, not anymore... |
