Top Flite P40 engine
 

I have a question regarding an engine/fuel tank installation in the T/F P40. I am hoping to install an O.s. F/S95V in mine similar to the way the 120 is installed on page 49 of the manual.However,I would think this is a problem with a non pumped engine. The engine has to draw fuel from the tank back to the fueler and then back to the engine. The OS95 also requires muffler pressure. I guess a third plugable line can be used as an overflow. How did you P40 guys do it? Please do not say use electric!:D

I have three lines going into my tank. One from the muffler, a second from the carb and the third is run out to the back of the cowling so I can access it infront of the wing to refuel. I have a 4-40 screw plugging this line in flight. I also ran a tube from the crank case out to the rear of the cowl to drain out into the slip stream. I can post photos later tonight if needed

Thanks for the pictures Scott. When you fill the tank do just let the overflow run out the muffler?It also looks as if you have added an extra former to support the cowl.

The "former" looking thing in around the engine was my attempt to control heat and pressure inside of the cowling on the engine while flying in the florida heat. Now I live in Washington so I am not sure it is neccessary anymore.
