It is indeed a Stinson, a Stinson Junior

It looks to me like the STINSON SR-5 rather than the Junior or Detroiter series.
The SR-5 did not feature a gull-wing as in later SR-8,9,10s
The wing struts are also different between the Junior series and the Reliants as well as the tails.
My vote is for the early Reliant series.
