2016 Southern Dawn Patrol
It's almost time to end the flying year in south Georgia. The Southern Dawn Patrol 2016 (Dec 2-3) at the Mac Hodges field in Andersonville GA is drawing near.
All planes prior to 1919 (gas, glow, electric) regardless of size are welcomed. Well almost (no hand launched). Landing Fee is $20, flying from dawn to dusk on the most beautiful manicured grass field in the country. Hookups (electric/water) are available first come first served at an additional charge. See Mac for more info. Macs website... http://www.hodgeshobbies.com/ Sign up on https://www.rcflightdeck.com/ Hope to see you all there. John Mueller - CD |
John, is there a particular hotel that will be "event friendly" ? I've been thinking I need to make my reservations before it is too close. Thanks for any info.

Hey Doc:
No there is not an 'Event Friendly' hotel for the event. Sorry. John |
OK So where are you staying?
Doc |
We will be staying at the field in a friends 5th wheel RV.

John,
I plan to attend but my work may interfere this time. I have a new Navy training demonstration to give in Orlando mon-fri. I'm trying to figure out to make all this schedule workout. I may just be an observer this year on Sat. Doc, good to her from ya. Last year I slept in my van with a sleeping bag. Kinda roughed it. I need to buy a camping cott if I do that again. Mack does have great warm showers on site. Great hospitality and flying at SDP. I will be at Dayton with 2 birds. |
Hi Mike, I could do the van camping thing if it was just me but the Mama is coming so civilized accommodations are required. lol
