Float Selection for TF Cessna 182

Anyone using floats on their 1/5th TF Cessna 182? If so, what floats work the best? The GP .60 size floats look a little small - something ARF would be great.

Thanks

RE: Float Selection for TF Cessna 182

I fly the Top Flite Cessna on 40" floats by Sea Commander with his scale spreader bars set up. He suggested I use the 40's but wish I had gone with the 32's. Real sharp set up but I would not do it again. I have seen the Balsa USA 1/4 scale floats used also. You need floats in the 42"- 44" range. The main problem though is the wing. This plane snaps real bad and stalls before it would normally when you put floats on it. Guess it needs more wing area. I have more fun flying my sport planes on floats or my Goldberg clipped wing Cub than I do the Cessna. Now that I have so much money sunk into it, can't decide what to do with it.
