I'm looking for plans or I'd rather like to know if there are any good kits for a crop duster type model. I don't care what type or style it is as long as it has the look of a crop duster. I want it to be a 120 size or 1/4 scale. Thanks for any info.

Thanks for the help. How does anyone feel about kit bashing a four star 120 or something like that. I don't need it to be perfect, I just want it to have the crop duster look so I can play around with a smoke system setup. Does anyone have any Idea of a 120 or 1/4 size plane to turn into a crop duster?

Four Star 120 to a duster- Been there, done that!
It worked fine until the scoreboard at Top Gun '96 got in the way during a practice flight. I was the first pilot to hit the scoreboard at the old West Palm polo field Top Gun site, as I went down there to pick up the remains, Mark Frankles' Skyray flamed out and ran into the front of the scoreboard. Top Gun had been flown there for four years without an scoreboard collision and two of us hit it within four minutes. My "practice" duster was destroyed but I learned were the obstacles were and went on to finish 2nd place overall, less than 1/2 point behind Terry Nistch, with my Ayers Thrush!
Anyway, it was an easy mod and a good flying plane,j mulder can tell you how it was done.

Kyosho has a great agwagon, Ive have owned 3 so far --1 is gone to the big r/c field in the sky,dang radio. the other 2 fly great--I love them.

I just ordered plans to a 1/4 scale Piper Pawnee by Dick Graham from Scale Plans and Photo Service. They have a website, just do a search on their name. The plane has a operating dust hopper you can build for it, so you can do some real crop dusting. The plans were $45.00 delivered. Wing span is 108 inches. I will be using mine for aerotowing scale sailplanes.

I have the AT kit from Hollis above. The plans are great, the laser cut package is awesome. If you are really nice he will throw in a CD with more pictures than you need of the construction as well as the full scale plane. I have known Mr. Calvert for more than 10 years and will vouch for him. He is a "purist" when it comes to scale and his kit/plans mimic the full scale right down to the step ups. And for the moeny you cannot beat it. i am too involved in another project right now to start my kit, but from the video of the flights and from the plans, it looks like it will be a winner.

There is a Cessna Agwagon plan you can download from this site. dxf format so easy to scale to the size you want.

This may not be what you are looking for, but VMAR are soon to release a .47~.60 (?) size Piper Pawnee with it's own smoke system for fake crop-dusting.
They are currently sorting the smoke system which in itself will be interesting; I dont know of any real good smoke systems for .40 size engines!!!! If they get it to work, they will be on a winner!!!!

man iand i just tosed some old plans... in model airplane (a magazine) i think somewhere in 2000 - 2001 ish there was a nice crop duster plane but i never liked it and had no one to give it to so it went to the trash. hope this helps some.

There is an ad in the classified section of Model Airplane News for duster plans of all types. There seems to be a lot of different models offered. If you wanted to make a Pawnee do what they did with the real one. Use PA18 wings and tail feathers, You can make the fuselage from pictures. It was a low winged airplane and I'm not too sure but I think the struts were also from a Super Cub.
