Some flying shots. Lost the Triplane 2 years ago to radio failure. Just got a new kit, so I am planning on having a replacement this summer.

Here's my scout. Never made it "to" the war (except in Dawn Patrol) but WWI era....

I've made it a bit past this photo, but still have plumbing to do before covering.

I built 2 Balsa USA Sop Pup kits for me and my friend Dallas in 2008. Both are still flying and still look pretty good. They are great Sunday fyers and you won't be ashamed to take it to a Dawn Patrol event. My Pup has won 2 awards at these different Dawn Patrol so far. Here are some pictures of my Sop Pup. I'll post pictures of my other war birds soon.

I think I know WINGS2AN3 .

His planes are beautifully built and visually stunning when seen seen in person. The size and realism is almost beyond belief. You need to keep reminding yourself that these are not full scale.

They are "magic" in the air , especially the TriPlane. You need to see them in flight , the pictures don't do them justice.

When the tri plane was brought to field to be maiden ed , everyone at the field stopped what they were doing and watch in awe as this magnificent plane flew for the first time.

I never heard 30 guys applaud so loudly when the flight over.

Wings2an3 is a special builder and treasury in RC community.

The German Fokker D-VII was one of my favorite airplanes of the "Great War". There are so many different color scheme to choose from for a scale project. There are several books that have the history of the pilots and their own color scheme. I elected to do my Balsa USA 1/4 scale D-VII after Oblt. Erich Lowenhardt's Fok D-VII, he was the 3rd highest scoring German Ace in WW I. The Balsa USA 1/4 scale Fok D-VII is the best flying RC airplane I have had in over 30 year of flying RC airplanes. My yellow D-VII won several awards at different events during the 2009/2010 season. The beginning of the 2011 season I attended an event and was one of the first in the air, this was just a week before "War Birds Over Texas". Well on the first flight I lost it in the morning sun, the crash was a total loss. I knew I would build another D-VII. Here are the picture of Obt. Erich Lowenhardt's Fok D VII, his yellow fuselage Fok D-VII was hard to miss,

My newest find. An Aerotec Albatros DVa kit. Very old kit but also very complete. Includes fiberglass spinner, all the wood, plans, pre-bent wires and full cockpit with working controls. It even has the metal chair built and included. Also my Balsa USA DVII and my soon to be covered Balsa USA V. 11
