Hi guys, this is probably a long shot but just wondering if anyone out there might know where I could find some more photos of this particular Stearman? Iam trying to gather some more painting documentation referrence images, so far this is the only pic I can find... Cheers- Marty |
RE: Stearman Documentation ??
Hi, Marty, The USA FAA registration number is on the tail - NC64712. I would go to the FAA aircraft registry website, The current owners name and address will be listed.you could contact him to see if he would be willing to provide you with pictures, documentation, etc. regards, John R.

RE: Stearman Documentation ??
Thanks John and Chad, Thats what Iam looking for.... About all I need now is to try and get a good side pic of the logo on the fuz so I can make a decal. I might have to try Johns suggestion of tracking the owner down via the FAA registry and see what happens??
In the mean time I have some homework to do on possible engine choice options, I was considering going with a radial such as a 9 cyl Technopower and 7 cyl Robart but not to sure about this as I cant seem to find much info on these engines so far. A Saito 182 twin could be the go as it might be the easier option and would hide amoungst the dummy radial cylinders. http://www.technopower.com/products.html http://robart.com/R780/r780construct.aspx |
