Speed controllers bought. That means the last thing I need to purchase is props.

14AWG is the correct size but try to get silicon wire, it's much more flexible.

You're welcome Wayne,

Which ESC's did you buy? You may need some connectors for the motors, 4mm bullets possibly. If you don't have some you can pick them up at most auto supply stores. I noticed that a couple of the ESC's used Tamiya connectors for the motor, if you bought those I'd advise changing them to Bullets as Tamiya is a lower current connector.

Morning Bob
I bought the 100A model.
I'll most likely change all the connecters to Deans plugs.

Do you have any outlets for 5 to 6" figures (capt, deck hands, etc).

No. Flea markets; Dollar stores; garage sales; just about anywhere I can find them, then you may have to re-paint, remake or even resize them.

I learned a lot about marine esc's from this thread.  Holy cow was I out of touch.  Having never had to buy one for any of my previous boats I was thinking it was as simple as when I was buying them for my rc cars.  Stock motor needs this one and a modified motor needs that one.  It was simple. This boat stuff gets more involved I see.  Would you believe I still have an unused graupner mechanical marine speed control from the mid 90's... I'm getting old.

BTW I love that flying wing lobster boat you got there.  How many pots can she hold before she becomes unstable at altitude? lol

Hey Quick,
It took me a few minutes to figure out the "flying wing lobster boat" thing.

I wanted to be able to access the batteries fairly easy. So the best way I could come up with just a simple hatch.

The blue boat now has its dash installed.
Notice the bulkhead that I broke. It will be sanded, filled and repainted.

I noticed back at post #263 you didn't have the hatch lip installed under the cockpit deck at the hatch area and wondered how you were going to handle it. What you've done works just as well and if there's any objection to the latch sitting on the top of the cockpit deck you can cover it up with a "live well".

BTW, where's the door you made for your boat back in mid July, right after you came home from the hospital? Morgan's boat has a door but yours has just a door way, or a 'hole' in the bulkhead. Come to think of it I didn't notice your dash, or even a corner of it, either. I suppose the dash was hidden by the port side of the boat.

You have time to put in the windows while you're waiting for the batteries, speed controllers, wire and props.
