Default Help Identify this boat please

Hi,

This is my first post and first entry into the hobby. I found this wood model boat at a yard sale and decided to purchase it thinking it would be a cool thing to work on and since i like fishing, thought model boats would be a good side project to keep me busy during the winter. I can't seem to find any info on the model boat. The boat itself has no markings indicating any manufacturer etc.. Before I jump into it and try and restore it I wanted to see if anyone new what it was and if there were any pieces and parts out there for it before I make my own and piece things together from other manufacturers that are out there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Can someone point me in the right directiona s to where I can find information or an expert that can fill in the blanks?

Luis, It looks like one of the Sterling boat kits. What's the length and beam? Anything in the hull? Dan.

Luis,

It "looks" like the 63' Chris Craft Motor Yacht but there's one less port hole running along the side? Compare to this picture, a 1953 or 54 63' Chris-Craft Motor Yacht.

Bob.

Now lets put both posts together ..

It's a Sterling 63' Chris Craft Motor Yacht. There are a few threads on them on RCGroups.
