We are not prescient, throw us a bone!

- What is the size of your boat?
- Does it have the motor/driveline/prop installed? What are they?
- Exactly what radio do you have...transmitter and receiver?

A few photos would help, you need ten posts so go to the test forum and post “test” eight times.

That’s not much detail to go on. I’ll assume that the motors are brushed. Unless the ESCs have a BEC (battery eliminator circuit) then you should use a separate receiver battery - this is normal. You didn’t tell us exactly what your radio is. Use what the receiver instructions recommends for a receiver pack.

Yes, but I believe you need 10 posts first. Go to the “test” forum and post five “Test” posts with “test” in the post, then follow these instructions.

post photos

1. Your query might reach a wider audience who know about Scale boats if its posted in Scale rather than Speed. Different people often speaking different languages.
2. 10 volts means 10 volts. 12 will likely let out the magic smoke. Any 12 volt battery, when charged, will be more than 12.
The receiver will probably run on 5 volts. This can be got either using a 4 cell NiMH receiver pack, (5 cells if you don't mind eating into the designed safety margin) or a Battery Eliminator Circuit, which can be built into the Electronic Speed Control or a separate item to derive the require voltage from the main battery.
3. Motor bike batteries in a model boat are rarely a good idea. On a bike, they are usually in a well vented place. Inside an enclosed space like a boat, acidic fumes are nobody's friend.
4. Leaving personal details on any open forum is never a good idea. Most sites like this have a Personal Message system, where you can swap information freely, but also safely without offering your personal information to any evil guy who will be keen to mess your life up.
