Rich I didn't hear from the club organizer on an October date. If I do, I'll be sure to post it.

Hi y'all,

I was a member of your group back in 89-91, then I run off to join the Navy. I was a member of Elite Fleet in Virginia beach, Mission Bay RC Boaters in San Diego CA, the Subcommittee, and Task Force 96 as I bounced around with the Navy. I am retired now (from the USN) and working as a teacher in my home town of San Angelo TX. I frequently drive up to the DFW area to visit family, and would love to get together and run boats. Here's some pics of what I've been working on lately, A Royal Navy Armed Trawler HMT Guardsman, and the Schooner Yacht Wasp. Hope to hear from y'all soon.

Let me know too, I can see if i can make it out there too ( One of these years!!??!!). I usually just float Ye' old vac-u-Tug at West Lake Park, it's a teeny tiny pond but less than 2 minutes from home. Sometimes I hit Town Center Park here in Mesquite too. Mostly at West Lake though, less cut fishin' line to get snagged on and not as many SNAKES like at Town Center.

Is the North Texas Shipwrights still holding regattas? I know this is an old thread, but I thought I’d ask. I have a couple of sailing yachts and a few electric boats, scale and 2 cell semi fast boats, plus some in the works. I live in McKinney, sail/run at Town Lake and Celebration Park.

Hi Cash.

Yes! I just got a call from the founder this week about a club meeting and hopes for an upcoming regatta. One of our most enthusiastic members lives close to you as well. PM me your contact info and we'll let you know when the next regatta will be held.

Also, sharp looking boat you've got there!
