WTB Riva Aquarama - retail reccomendation
I am a newbie to RC boats but would really appreciate any reccomendations to where I could buy a nice scale RC Riva Aquarama around a 24" - 40" in size. Shipping to Australia is a pretty crucial part of the purchase too. I am wanting it for probably 80% static display and 20% water use. I would prefer to buy one RTR as I don't have loads of spare time for a scratch build. I do have radio gear already as I am an avid RC heli enthusiest. Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

Hello!
Please check on Ebay,
- as I have seen a company from Thailand (under German leadership) who are offering them RTR in several sizes and with good quality and nice wood-craftmanship.
Hope this helps to keep the freight costs low for you.

Hi Adrnln,
I agree with the above post, usually they turn up on e-Bay from a company in Thailand. Here is one in the US, but reach out to them and see if they are willing to send it to Australia. I believe the company in Thailand makes them in different sizes. I wouldn't be surprised if the link below was originally one of their boats.

If you want a waterproof Riva Aquarama that is made for R/C then you should go to H2Ohobbies.com
The boats are the same but have fiberglass inside. The static models are not waterproof and do not lend themselves well for R/C
You can also get them ready to run. H2O hobbies
will build it for you. Brushless motor (1), hardened steel universal coupling to s.s. 4mm shaft with beryl/copper
propeller. Very solid and dependable. I can give you references to their customers. They will reach speeds of up to 30mph.
See you-tube videos - search - scalemodelpowderful.
Let me know - Mark - Director of product development @ H2O Hobbies.
