Powered work barge
Ihave had two Robbe Roqua outboard motors just sitting in a box since new and finally got the itch to use them. I was thinking of a semi-scale work barge. Since this is my first scratch build. I have not decided if I am using both of the motors yet. It will depend on the final design and the performance of the motors. 36-40 inches long with a beam of 12-14 is what I think will visually look right. If anyone has any ideas, or input I would greatly appreciate it.
Maybe something similar to this (but smaller in overal size when compared to the outboards) www.navalarchitect.com.au/assets/pdf/12m_work_barge.pdf Or this www.ywe.com.au/barge-dylon.php Thanks, Dean |
RE: Powered work barge
did you ever build it. the first work boat i think would be the best its simple and easy to build since it all flat and boxie. i may build one my self just for the fun of it.

RE: Powered work barge
You could make a fairly large Pontoon boat. Side console, Canopy, Cooler, BBQ grill, Bikini Blondes, Solar cells, and so on.
