large scale Lake Boat
 

Hi all,
I want to share my Lake freighter I've been working on scince last year.
I built in 1/24 scale.
She's 12' long 21" wide and 1' depth. She's modled after a typical turn of the century ore boat.
I used 1/2" plywood for framing and 28ga steel for the sheathing.

Very cool. Actually uses metal sheathing. Wow. I like big boats and I cannot lie :).

Hi <font size="2" color="#00265e">mainiac68</font> I Just use rocks at the beach, I estamate about 300 Lbs.

I'm still looking into a motor for her, I would love steam but money is an isue, so right now it's kid powered

Maybe an electric trolling motor?
