1/8 Scale Atlas Van Lines, need help making canopy/hatch
I am currently building my first 1/8 scale hydro using Garry Finlay's Atlas Van Lines plans. I've built many planes in the past but this is my first boat, I've read many threads and gleanned a wealth of imformation on windowing the framing to save weight, re-enforcing critical areas, etc.... What I have not found much information on is how to make the canopy to cover the engine/electronics bay. For you experienced builders out there please share your experience, methods, pics etc..... Thank you in advance. Trey</p> |

If this is the 1977 version, you can make all the parts needed out of 1/32 plywood for skins and 1/16 ply with glue blocks added for internal framing. You can see how I did a similar cowl starting with post 13 in this thread:

thanks hydro. I've read a LOT of your posts here and on other forums. I've learned a ton of good ideas doing so. Thank you
