NEW Project on order!!
 

Well! I bit the bullet! I Emailed Anglia Model Centre in England yesterday, and got an almost instant response from Brian Hall!:D I told him I was interested in the Fairey Huntsman, Cabin Cruiser/wood. He said the kit is in stock, and ready for shipping. I asked him if the boat is setup for dual motors like the full sized boat, and what driveline hardware and rudder I should get. He told me that I could go either way. Two 700 sized motors would work just fine. He said he's running an 800 sized motor, thru a 5mm X 14" driveshaft, with 50mm prop, and a large single rudder. I ordered the boat, 2, 14" driveshafts, and the large rudder. Kinda thinking I otta go with dual motors like the origonal. I'm wondering what 2, 800's would do?[X(] The boat is 46" long. Total for the kit and hardware was 159.99 English lbs., or $312.88. Anyhow guys I got yet another project comming!:D Probably gonna sit for a while, but if I didn't order it - I might never have. Gotta start cleaning up all the other boat stuff sitting here. The Teak Cruiser is waiting for the new ESC, and I need to order a new radio. I've started reassembeling the Q/D Stryker last nite. I'm not going to paint it, I decided. And the new G-Force Rigger should be back from paint in a couple weeks. So it's going to be a juggeling thing for a few weeks, but it'll settle down soon. Brian,

Boats are addicting. First you want one, then another and then another. You will have more to be finished than you will have done. I gave up trying to keep track of the unfinished ones.

Yea Phil, yer right on that one! A year ago I had 3 gas boats completed. Sold one, bought 3 others, and built 2 for other guys! Will this ever end??[X(] I sure hope NOT!! LOL Brian

I just hope that the boss lady never finds just how many boats I have aquired over the years. If she does, I will be living in the dog house or maybe in the basement.

Hey, the basement doesn't sound too bad, I'd be closer to my boats and workshop.

ya boats are addictive. i have 2 and my daughter has 1. i have them in my gallery.... so far the tally on dauntless is a grand. and still goin....[8D] if i get another one i'll be in my newly aquired 6x5 shed.....[:o]i have had around 10 aircrafts and that was a pain..... but fun... pain being i had no room to fit them all. especially my 14 scale bipe... anyways good luck on the boats.... have fun with em. when bored of one get another..... [8D]

I'm envious Brian! Congrats on your new purchase! Be sure to show us pictures when the kit arrives. Sounds like a fair price for everything including long distance shipping.

Thanks Kmot!:) Envoius? Why in the world would you be envious? Looking at your gallery, I see you've got a few very nice builds yourself!;) Nice touch with the action figures! Nice touch also, with the shot of your happy, smiling face too! LOL Besides, you've got that beautiful Jules Verne comming up too! My Huntsman was shipped out Parcel Post on Dec/14, so I've had a keen eye on the mail delivery since.[:-] Too make matters worse, we had back to back blizzards here in Denver which has the USPS all jacked up! I did get my "03" boat put back together, and the Cruiser "WAS" ready with an all new radio setup - cept the reciever was defective and I had to send it back to Hitec for service. So I've been kinda sitting on my thumbs lately, ready to pounce on the mailman like a kid at Christmas every time I see him! AND! There's a foot of snow on the lake![X(] This is the first real winter I've seen here in the 10yrs I've been out here! Like living back in Illinois! AAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!! LOL But thats the other side of r/c boating, huh? PATIENCE!! :eek: Brian
