I was wondering if there is a cheap, well made and rtr boat that loofs sa=cale and has a rudder?

dicky tug is ok as a boat but to make it perform change the radio gear, however the southampton by Hobby Engine is a better bet, twin motor, proportional control on motor and rudder.

the dickie uses end-end all or nothing set up and is a wide band affair, Southampton is on 27mhz, with interchangable crystals in the radio and boat and wont be affected by other 27mhz boats unless they are on the same crystal. you may be on 27,145 and someone on 27.065 wont affect you! the dicky tug will be affected as soon as someone on the waveband turns on, NO MATTER where it is in the waveband in relation to you :)

oh the southampton can pull as well and as indicated by the smaller pic floats perfectly well on her roof, just doesnt right itself. as long as your hatches ARE LOCKED DOWN she wont go under.

the super structure sits over a watertight hatch that locks. there is also a water tight hatch on the stern as well.

mine lost its mast radar and other items on the roof after going under a branch trying to rescue another boat
