Reversing Brushless Controller
Is there a brushless controller available for a boat like the Dumas 48 inch PT boat that has a reverse capability?. I am thinking about using two E-flight 25's with counter rotating propellers. Each motor will draw ten amperes from its own 14 cell nickel cadmium pack.

RE: Reversing Brushless Controller
Brushless cars have a reverse function.. if you cant find one especially for a boat, investigate brushless car ESC's

Thanks toesupwa, I was heading in that direction. I'll continue the search. Dan

as a warning brushless motors dont like to be run at slow to mid speeds. they are extremely inefficient at those speeds and tend to heat rather quickly. They heat not only the motor but also the controllers and the batteries. Ive built many boats both fast (50mph twin mti cat) and slow (45 inch shelly foss). Stick with brushed you will be happier

OK shockerman80. I'm using Astroflight's Marine 25 now. I'll probably stick with them. Dan.

Castle has them.http://www.castlecreations.com/products/mamba.html
One unique thing is that they can be used on brushed or brushless motors. |
