ESC TO RUDDER LINKING

Hi All,

I am doing my first R/C boat, and would liek to know if it is possible to have the motors/ESC coupled to the rudders to assist in turning? The boat has 3 shafts and 3 rudders.

RE: ESC TO RUDDER LINKING

Yes, some people use a "V" tail mixer from RC model aircraft to mix the rudder
control to the throttles.

The trick is that each motor has to have an ESC so that as rudder is applied, the
mixer can slow or speed up the motors on the inside/outside of the turn.

RE: ESC TO RUDDER LINKING

Hi Yumi,

thanks for that. So all 3 motors need their own ESC, no problems there. Witht he wiring how would you hook up?

The 2 outboard ESC connected to a Y lead, and then into the electronic Vtail mixer, which is coupled into the rudder, and Y leaded into the other ESC and receiver?
