Another helpfull thing to do to reduce radio interferance is to seal the battery terminals as electrolosis and intercunducting currents in the free flood area could play a role in reseption
Can you expand further on it . I always found that any metallic material close by will interfere .

Yes that is possible if say the sub is entirely made of metal,but since that is usualy not the case the amount of interfearence is negledgable.
Batteries and wireing does not seem to cause any problems iether ,but electrical magnetic eddies and feedback from power surges while in the water can cause glitches and gets worse at distance and the deeper one goes.
So carefull shielding and line chokes as well as diodes eliminate the above "spuriuse electrical anomoleis".

Final dry range-test show that kinking the antenna at 85 degrees did not affect the reception at all , at least in my scenario

Yes you should be alright,I offen test subs with the antenna all woulnd up in a ball and it did all right for short run tests.
