There are 2 that I would suggest, one the beutyful Type VIIc by OTW cost alot but has fantastic detail and not to RC freindly, the other is the Robbe Type XXI great detail easy to build very RC freindly and cost a third less has plenty of space for doors ,hydraulic DP and movable turrets .
I have owned them both and built and love them.

Am I correct in assuming this is your first sub? If so, Let me suggest you back off a bit on all the working functions and, instead, spend your time learning the basics first. Get yourself a really simple boat (the Robbe Seawolf, for example.....there are others) and get used to building/operating a submarine. Then, and only then, build your "wonder boat" with all the bells and whistles. I've seen too many guys who start off like a house on fire only to get bogged down part way through and then walk away disgusted because they took on more than they could chew.

Just a suggestion.

Whoa that's a big U-Boat. Skip Asay your right about all the functions I have the skills to build at least the kit with all the electronics to make it work but working torpedo's is a must no matter what I'm someone who is extremely meticulous when it comes to scale and functionality and If I have to choose Ill take the torps but even if it takes forever I will never give up on what I started well if its rc related I have been fascinated with anything the Germans built during world war two especially their aircraft and submarines
