RC sub radio questions

Good day! I currently use 2.4 for all my RC tanks, crawlers and cars. I just came into 2 of my grandfather's RC boats built decades ago. 1 being from what I can tell a converted static U-boat being a surface runner which I swapped a new flysky 2.4ghz receiver into just to get moving quickly. The 2nd boat is not as easily converted due to the speed controller, g style servo and that it was built back in the 1980's. With all that said it got me thinking of possibly getting into a Sub one day and needing a 75mhz radio if I do. I could also use this 75mhz radio for grandpa's old boat. So question for you all is what type of 75mhz radios do you all use for subs? How many channels are you using for Subs? Can you recommend a 5-7 channel 75MHZ radio ?

get a servo tester, to test old esc .
old connector can be replace with a new one. Futaba white pws signal, red +, black -.
if you can live with 2.4GHz limit, let it be.
then if you want the sub to goes down to bottom of the pool, low MHz is a must. 4 or more(more the batter in big boat) channel will do.
a opentx/er9x base TX with a low MHz RF module will open up more receiver options. (tested lot of them, only some odd ball one and PCM don't work)
