That is one sweet-looking sub!!! If you wanted to build one alike I'd suggest to convert the existing model to RC, since being wire-controlled, it'll probably have the motors already installed, just drop in the RC-equipment and go. If you wanted to build a sub similar to the second one, you'll probably need simple-shaped objects, PVC tubes, plastic sphere covers, etc.

Ok, i am sorry for not be here for so long.

I whant to now what kind of motor should i use for my sub?
For a first test i am thinking in bying one like this:

And i will make a new hull, and change the motor to a more powerfull one, is that possible?

Any motor that's powerful enough to propel the sub will be fine. The first sub is a copy of the Hobbico SeaScout, it uses a vertical thruster to dive the sub (just like the Walmart ones) and two seperate props for directional control. The second sub incorporates the same design as the Megatech Ocean Explorer and the Radio Shack Mako subs. Both subs are dynamic divers.

Only if you have the money and the guts to do it...

The motor choice depends on several factors: the sub's size, battery, the torque, etc. Several manufacturers such as Graupner, Robbe, Mabuchi, Johnson, and Pittman make electric motors. I've never been familiar with brushless motors however.

A servo is a device attached to the receiver unit which does the physical work inside an RC vehicle. It is "the little black box" that has all the linkages and control rods hooked onto it. It has an electric motor and a gearbox which allows it to control all your control surfaces (e.g: rudder, diving planes, ballast tank valves, etc).

As for ballast tanks, several manufacturers make those, check these links out:

Some people also like to make their own ballast tanks, for several reasons: compatibility issues, price...... or just for the fun of out it!!!
