Well the Seawolf SB1 is in progress. I just got my 2 ch 49mhz radio to work. The radio runs on 4.5 but i hooked up a 6 volt batt to it. Seems to run fine got about 1000 rpms more
. I jsut tested my wally sub motor for the tx(whistle)[X(] whoo lots of umphh behind that prop. Now im going to need to get the hack saw and cut off the nose cone of the wally sub and its tower. I also am going to extend my hull somehow becasue the shaft sticks out about 1/2 after the end of the pumpjet or wannabe pumpjet. Otherwise it seems to be going ok i have to hot glue this holes shut because i made some mistakes and put extra holes then i will do a motor and wtc test plus a depth check. Then i will need to ballance it out. Thank god tommorows friday

Um what do i do with running flat underwater? I have no esc for the motor since its just a cheap car radio. How would i stop it from diving once underwater because i have permanent downward angled planes. Should i hook up some strings with foam bouys which once the subs gone under the bouys will hit the surface of the water and pull because theyre posititve they would want to pull up and if i hooked them up on the dive planes they would equal out and keep the sub from diving i dont know if it would work though. Maybe i would have to just go down stop float a little and keep going down.

Unfortunately you can't keep the sub level with a 2-channel radio. You'd need a third channel to control the dive planes to make it a dynamic diver, or maybe make use of the vertical thruster from the toy seawolf.

Captain's right, level cruising isn't part of this 2-channel package.

I think I didn't engage bow thruster at all in this vid, and had no bow planes.
My Wally sub had a downward trim, and stern fins had some silicone tabs that contributed to downward drive.
Note my sub was trimmed to ride with decks awash when at rest. So I didn't care to follow the Wally manual, and had myself a sub riding about as high as an authentic LA-class sub. My planeage and downward angle managed to push all that underwater; if you set your waterline like in the manual, though, (and maybe remove the foam from the conning tower) you shouldn't need as much downward planeage and push as I used. If you use enough, your sub should stay under whenever you impel it forward.
When the sub went under, immersion of above-waterline structures generated enough buoyancy to pop it back up past the at-rest waterline and until it lost momentum; then foward drive and planeage pushed it back under.

Cool vid i was thinking i could experiment with bouys pulling the dive planes level once the sub went like 6 in down. then in order to surface i would just let go of the controls. I would have somekind of magnet hooked on the bowplanes which would be connected to a wire strong enough to hold bouys up then once the bouys hit the water they would have bouyancy whcih would pull on the wire pulling the bow planes level i dont know if this is possible though i have to make sure my WTC works after all its just a bottle

Aarghh!!! radios not working. There somewhat working. I cant sodder i have a soddering gun but no resin wire or the metal stuff to use
to hook wires on the board. So instead what i do is take some double sided hanging tape the foam type ones and i put the wires where they should be connected to and lay the tape on. Sometimes it works but sometimes it doesnt i will send pics once im done. Shouldnt be long from now. My sub is bascially the wtc with no wet hull, its connected to a cone and tail cone plus dive planes and stabilizers, then i have the conning tower with a tx antennae as a receiver antennae. Maybe i will jsut keep it as push forward dive a little, let go of sticks adn float up a littel then push forward soem more. I am not sure yet. Well got to get back to work.

Yeah last time i soddered i burned 2 of my rx's. I noticed a big BIG difference too. When i had my 27 mhz rx hooked up, i tested it once i built the sub i dumped it in the water and right when the wtc hit the water the radio jsut quit. I then would pull it up and radio frequency would go through again. So when i hooked the tx antennae to the rx it worked! It was so weird so i got to finish the sub and balance it out. THen i will send pics.
