no kidding, even my Walmart sub is really fun. Do you have room inside the sub to try to glue styrofoam? you could counter some of that weight that way. packing peanuts are a nice cheap foam.

Well, in the front, I can't do much, in the back I can add some weight because there is space, I haven't had chance to run another trim test, you also have to make sure that when the ballast tank is full, the sub just barely float on the water.

Captain Nemo was the first person (in recorded fiction;)) who ever built and sailed a submarine. The rest pretty much explains itself...[8D]:D

my bow planes are kind of removeable. i could add them in if i wanted to, but i decided not to. i may later on since it might help the ability to dive from the surface. as for the motor, i have no idea as to what type it is. it's some simple mabuchi type motor that came with the plastic model kit. oh, and it's a direct drive straight from motor shaft to screw and looks alot like this one:
