The megatech is the same as the National geo sub. You have to adjust the engines to dive, however you can control the engines separately to turn. It's the only difference.
Those type of subs(megatech, nikko seatiger and national geo) sucks.[:'(]

I have a nikko seawolf, I recommend you the seawolf or the walmart sub, see the posts to compare them.
I have the Megatech OE1, and that is simply not true. The engines are fixed at a certain angle so to dive you just hold forward thrust on both engines. It is very versatile, I've dove mine up to 7 feet in a pool before I lost radio contact. It has an automatic ballast system so it resurfaces whenever you let off the throttle. Fishtanks are hella fun, especially in the huge ones. I'd recommend the OE1 rather than a Nikko, cuz the Sea Wolf can only dive 2 feet at the most. Mine broke after 3 runs, and that's pathetic, especially cuz the OE1 was only $50 when I bought it.

I might try the Sea Scout since I'm putting in a TH order tomorrow.

I just got the Motorworks Sub yesterday. I weighted it and tried it in the tub today. I must say, it goes great!! It turns, dives, goes forward, backwards. All from the remote control! It's such a good deal. I now know why everybody on here has been raving about the sub! Any suggested mods that are useful?

2 feet? They recommend 2 feet but I get mine down to 6-7 feet. And is still working without problem.
