How does the pump work????

Hi guys,

I am new to RC Subs and I am building the Krick U-Boat. I got the complete outfit from Hobby Lobby and I am having pump problems. How does the pump work? Does it also need an ESC or does it run all the time? Does it only pump the water in? I am going insane trying to figure this out. The instructions do not cover the pumps operation at all. Any help would be EXTREMELY appreciated.

I think i figured it out. I guess that is what the PROFI 50 is for.
