Engel Gato Bow Plane Retract Mechanism

Has anyone out there installed the Engel Bow retract mechanism on a Gato SS212?
I am having a tough time wiring the system up. I sure could use some please.

I just used lego tecknics bear boxes and shafts even U joints ,when the halfs go together the gears mesh and a strong reliable scale like operation is made with a direct shaft link to the forward part of the casing,cost a 3 bucks.
