Default Radio's That work with SLU?

I have a Futaba FM 6channel and an Atronics FM 4 channel radio. Will these work with the SLU control units?

Already discussed: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10...m.htm#10676491 The Hooben electronics are SLU. I doubt the Futaba will work. I can't speak for the airtronics.

Maker cannot test SLU with all products from FUTABA .
Even if some special model doesn't work,  it doesn't mean it cannot work with whole production line of FUTABA.
No one can promise his production can work with every radio.

Normally, SLU can works with general 4 or more channels radio.
But if some one set mix control on his radio. that may cause some problem.

I was thinking about that thread a while ago.. Hooben sells Futaba radios on their site, on the T-55 product page, so I found it curious that people said they're having problems with it.

I do know that the SLUsite http://soundandlightunit.weebly.com/index.html only lists 2 radios. Thats where I looked when I had problems.
The radio listed inhttp://soundandlightunit.weebly.com/index.html are radios which Tim confirmedthem by himself. it doesn't mean it doesn't work with another radio.
It makes no sence only two radios can work with SLU. it also makes no sence hooben sells the Futaba on their website but it doesn't support their production.
BTW, Hooben's CPU is different from SLU. They are not total same. If you have problem with hooben CPU, please contact hooben customer service. They will give you an ansewer.

I did ask. They were tremenously helpful up to this point. Tim was really the biggest help. By the way, the T55 works now and I battled it last week. It battled great.

Back to the original question, if you already have the radios, try them I hope they work.    Please post if they do.

Will do when I get the SLU. Going to use it in a Stug III G or Panzer IV. Just trying not to have to buy another radio. That said I may end up getting a 2.4Ghz and then just buy receivers as I need them? Still want to try these two radios first.

Maybe they can't test every radio on the market, But The SLU should work with more than just 2 specific radios. Neither of which I own.
I was waitng for the LEO2A6 sound set to come out but If I need a complete nother Tx/Rx set I just may pass and use my old stand by for a desiel tank. Tamiya KV-1 electronics.
Yeah the engine and gun sounds may not be that correct but I know the stuff will work and work with every Tx/Rx set I have and I have a few
Futaba Skysport 2.4
Futaba Skysport 75m
Aeromax 5 channel. Neet little radio 50.00 bucks and you can add firing buttons on it like the Futabas. I havent made the left stick centering just because I like the way my Pershing can just creep along by itself.

I have just seen a video by NiagraRCTanks demonstrating his T-34 with an SLU upgrade.    I noticed that he is using a Futaba 4WD Attack with it.   So there are Futaba radios that will work.    Yea.
